Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.
Acacia has long been one of the most popular tonewoods used on higher end ukuleles and it's easy to see why. Visually striking and tonally rich, each piece of acacia has its own characteristics, making each instrument built with it unique. For our Kohala Deluxe series, we have paired the all acacia body with abalone style purfling and rosette and flame maple binding. The installed UK-500T pickup system includes a built in tuner with 3-band EQ and is powered by included lightweight CR2032 batteries. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including solid acacia top for greater volume and better tone, bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Kohala Series
The Kohala has all of the aesthetic upgrades of the Mano, including solid top, maple binding, gold tuners, and dual strap pins, but it’s built with acacia wood instead of mahogany. Acacia is revered for its beautiful, full tone and we’ve added abalone-style trim around the body.

Currently the most popular body size, the concert ukulele is slightly longer, and the body is slightly bigger than the soprano, at 24". This provides a bit more space for fingers on the fingerboard. It will sound quite similar, tonally, to the soprano, but the slightly larger body will produce a little more volume and depth thanks to the larger resonating chamber. We suggest the concert model for anyone seeking the traditional ukulele tone, but who may be a little more comfortable with a bigger body.

I am so pleased with my Kohala tenor acoustic electric tenor uke from Honolua. It arrived quickly, in perfect condition, ready to play. The tone is exceptional. It's so pretty! I even plugged it into my husband's Roland amp (why not?) and blew the roof off. Exceptional value right here in Canada. Thanks for making it possible.
Sounds just as good as it looks. I am very happy with my first ukulele purchase.
I love this Ukulele. It looks great and has a lovely bright tone and good resonance. It can nicely set up with very good intonation.
This uke is exactly as advertised. You get a lot of instrument for the money. As soon as I struck my first chord on this uke, I knew I bought something special. It has sustain like crazy, and it is not even broken in yet. It is a pleasure to play with a great out of the box setup. I love the fact it has pegs to make string changes easier. Bone nut and saddle as well as scalloped bracing like a decent guitar. Beautiful abalone embellishments and maple binding makes it look as good as it sounds. Nicely grained Acacia. Can not say enough good things about it, other than if you buy one you will not be disappointed.
I’m a lifelong on-and-off guitar playing woman with small hands. My guitar is 3/4 size because I feel like I’m wrestling a bear when I try to play a full size guitar.
This is my first ukulele and I am in LOVE!! The sound is robust and beautiful. The concert size is a perfect fit for me and the abalone detailing is subtly flashy. I’m having so much fun learning how to play this uke, and I plan on buying a hard case to keep it safe when I take it on vacations with me.
